PARTS OF A BOOK

We like to dress a student up like a book in order to teach them about the different parts of a book. The book opens up to show each important part of a book. The kids absolutely love it and beg us to choose them to be the one to dress up.

No Bones About It!

To kick off the spooky month of October, Edgemont had a fun week learning about bones.  Our students love when we share non-fiction books with them and this subject was no exception.  With ooo's and awe's throughout the reading it was a pleasure all week long to "teach" this book again and again!

 

We read/talked through this FABULOUS book...

 

Placed all of our "bone" books on display...

 

 

And followed up with a fun matching game to see how well everyone listened.

 

 

No bones about it...this was a great way to start the month!
